Teakout began with a conviction that Kerala’s most enduring material should have a meaningful place in contemporary homes. Teak has lived around us for centuries—in ancestral houses, temples, verandahs and objects passed carefully from one generation to the next. Its familiarity is part of its strength. Yet the furniture made from it need not remain fixed in the past.
We bring together that material inheritance and a cleaner, more personal design language. Some customers arrive with an architect’s drawing. Some carry a photograph. Others simply know how they want a room to feel. We begin by listening, then work through proportion, function, grain and finish until the piece belongs to the life around it.
Heritage is not something we reproduce. It is something we allow to continue.
That approach makes every commission a collaboration. It also keeps us close to what matters: the quality of the timber, the intelligence of the joinery, the touch of a finished edge and the confidence that a piece will grow more beautiful through use.
The Vazhuthacaud chapter

Our experience centre in Vazhuthacaud is imagined as the physical expression of this belief. Furniture is not lined up as inventory. It is placed in rooms with light, texture and the atmosphere of a Kerala home, so that you can understand scale, comfort and material before making a decision.
Come to see the grain in person. Sit for a while. Bring measurements, references or simply a question. The team will help you compare forms and finishes without turning the visit into a transaction.
The right piece should not feel newly added. It should feel as though the room had been waiting for it.
